This brewery was named with the aim of becoming the number one sake brewery in the Orient. The types of sake produced here include daiginjoshu, junmai ginjoshu, junmaishu, and honjozoshu. Yamada Nishiki rice is one of the rice varieties used as an ingredient, and the sake is prepared using underground water from the Kiso River.
The brewery, Toyo Jiman Shuzo, was founded in 1902.
