Senogami ruins

Historic Site
The Senogami ruins are medieval ruins that underwent an emergency survey in 1979 by the Inuyama City Board of Education. The artifacts excavated at the time include yamajawan bowls, small saucers, grating plates, wide-mouthed jars, bowls, and religious vessels of various shapes.
Among these artifacts is a saucer with a difficult-to-read character written in ink on the bottom — possibly the character for “one” or “temple”. The bowls and saucers are both very smooth in texture — products of the Kamakura period, made using carefully chosen paste.
